Transportation Warehouse Manager
Our client is seeking a Warehouse Manager who will be responsible for the day to day running of the Warehouse. You will undertake all warehouse functions and ensure all consignments are processed, received and despatched. in a timely manner and in conjunction with deadlines.   You will be responsible for all employed staff and sub contractors and you will work as part of the Operational Management Team and run the department in close conjunction with other departmental heads including Exports, Imports and Transport.

You will maintain a high level of Quality & Compliance and maintain and promote a professional manner amongst all staff. You will implement, train and manage new processes introduced by the Management Team, maintain weekly department reports for submission to the Operations Manager, produce and submit monthly KPI reports to UK Operations Manager and seek appropriate support as necessary from your Manager, other Managers and Directors. You will closely monitor all consignments escalated as high profile to ensure key transport milestone updates are provided and attend regular meetings, You will overview shift report handovers at the end of every shift.

You will delegate administrative of operational tasks as appropriate, maintain and promote a professional manner amongst staff and seek at all times to implement and maintain company policy. You will seek to resolve inter departmental questions and issues as they arrive and you will train new staff on new functions to help increase knowledge and productivity. You will perform random checks on entry for accuracy and work closely with warehouse operatives to maintain standards of discipline in regard to start and finish time, uniform and appearance, correct wear of PPE and personal hygiene.

You will maintain rostas, overtime records and monitor staff attendance and time keeping as well as encourage and promote team work, cooperation and a good working atmosphere.

You will also be responsible for facility t management and sub contractor control and quality control procedures.

You will have good negotiation and problem solving skills, good team work skills and strong self motivation ability with good numeric and financial ability. You will have the ability to work under pressure, motivate and lead a team and good computer skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. You will have excellent communication skills, management skills, decision making ability and the ability to plan and organise.   You will have management experience and experience and understanding of producing KPI records. You will be experienced in commercial aspects of business and industry experience.

Ideally you will have GDP Training and Qualifications specific to Transportation.
