You will be a member of a sales support team responsible for liaising with customers and internal staff to ensure customer requirements are met in terms of specification and time scales. You will support and liaise with the Sales Office Manager, Distributors and UK & Export Sales Managers for quotations and sales. You will provide quotations, process orders, raise sales invoices, delivery notes and credit notes through ERP Computer system and expedite goods through various freight companies and provide appropriate documentation. You will prepare documents for payment by Bank Collections and Letters of Credit and liaise with customers as necessary on prices, delivery schedules and amendments. You will cover in sales office (Export and UK), filing and various ad hoc duties where necessary. You will actively support at all times, company policy and best practice in the area of security with particular emphasis on the protection of sensitive customer and company information. You will adhere to all internal processes and procedures in order to build and retain effective long term relationships. You will also be happy to provide cover for other team members.
On the logistics side, you will compile schedule for UK drivers, update relevant database's as required, adjust schedules as required, liaise with customers expected delivery times and with production and despatch regarding loading of orders. . You will calculate packing space and costs for export delivery and liaise with freight forwarders and customers, book containers and trailers and follow up trailer and container arrival if required. You will issues clearance/customs/despatch documents as required.
You will have a good knowledge of the geography of the UK, a high level of numerical ability and be fully computer literate. You will also be structured, methodical, analytical and well organised with a high attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
Ideally you will have an understanding of and ability to complete all necessary documentation for export of
goods worldwide, including Certificates of Origin, EUR1, invoices, packing list, additional languages, knowledge of EFACS computer programme, negotiation skills, knowledge of procedures for payment by Bank Collection and Documentary Credit and knowledge of UK Transport and Logistic Laws.
You will have excellent customer service skills and a great telephone manner and be proactive with good MS Office skills.
Monday - Thursday 9 - 5.30pm and Friday 9am - 4.30pm with 1 hour for lunch
