Our client is looking for a Senior Administrator who will action the administrative activities that facilitate the smooth running of an office, organising people, information and other resources. You'll ensure that office equipment is maintained to the appropriate quality and quantity, relevant records are up to date and all administrative processes work effectively.
You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills as you will be client facing and providing direct customer service. You will be competent in managing a variety of business management systems, to ensure smooth running of the staff schedules and room capacity and ensure that the business meets productivity levels. You will use a range of software, including email, spreadsheets and databases, to ensure the efficient running of the office and be able to manage online and paper filing systems as well as develop and implement new administrative systems, such as record management. You will organise the office layout and maintain supplies of stationery and equipment, maintain the condition of the office and arrange for necessary repairs, ensure adequate staff levels to cover for absences and peaks in workload, often by using temping agencies and respond to customer enquiries and complaints. You will also view and update health and safety policies and ensure they're observed and check that data protection laws are being adhered to in relation to the storage of data, and review and update policies. You will also arrange regular testing for electrical equipment and safety devices.
The successful candidate will be smart and professional and be able to deal with challenging situations in relation to multi tasking and anxious and vulnerable clients. Excellent organisational and time management skills are essential as is knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and strong IT and typing skills. You will have the ability to prioritise tasks, work under pressure and as part of a team as well as on own initiative. You will be able to manage your own workload and have excellent interpersonal and written communication skills and project management skills.
The working hours are typically a 40 hour week including a Saturday working for a 10% salary premium. Candidates with the right skillset that cannot work Saturdays will be considered,
