You will provide 24.7 service to customers for all special requirements they may have in relation to their product. You will work on a 24./7 on call basis every third week and normal hours will be 9am - 5.30pm. Monday - Friday.
You will understand the company and its operation through successful completion of the Introduction to code of ethics and interact with colleagues at all levels in a positive manner. You will assist with the smooth running of the aerospace department on a day to day basis and you will take full booking details from customers, ensuring that relevant information is obtained and recorded accurately both on file and edocs. You will deal with any customer requests for information and ensure that they are kept up to date of shipment progress at all times. Customers must be informed of arrival information and notified promptly regarding any delays and the customer update process strictly followed at all times.
You will ensure that work is carried out according to company procedures/standard operating procedures and work is to be carried out to a high standard in order to present the customer with a positive image of the company. The Duty Smartphone must be carried at all times and answered promptly whilst on call and this will be on a rota basis.
You will ensure job costing and invoicing is carried out within the company guidelines and is accurate in all respects within the relevant timescales. You will ensure that all invoices and shipping documents are provided to the customer within company guidelines and ensure all quotations are actioned within company guidelines. You will liaise with overseas offices/agents as required and to ensure profit share is obtained for all the business. You will ensure that all completed jobs are presented neatly with the audit trail and in accordance with company guidelines. Job files are to be checked to ensure that all necessary action had taken place and you will ensure strict compliance in respect of the company's credit control policy. You will carry out other tasks that may be required from time to time by the supervisor or other managers. You will ensure duty/VAT is collected, all expenses relating to overseas visits are retained and submitted in line with company policy and follow Aviation Security Regulations.
You will have a flexible approach to working hours and work with the team to cover early/late start/finish
Due to the nature of the role, it is essential that you live within 30 minutes of the office in event of a customer call out.
