Our client is looking for someone to be a member of a sales support team responsible for liaising with customers, internal staff and area sales managers to ensure our customers requirements are met in terms of specification and timescales. This position reports to the Sales Office Manager.
Support the sales team and work closely with production, design, purchasing and the customers on a daily basis
Providing quotations, processing orders and raising sales invoices through our Efacs (ERP) computer system
Maintaining excellent customer relations
Ensuring customer orders are accurate
Answering the telephone and dealing with customers / sales queries
Keep customers informed of the status of their order
Raising customer issues and chasing orders
Chasing balance payments on non credit approved customers when necessary
To cover in sales office (Export & UK), filing and various ad hoc duties where necessary
To actively support at all times, company policy and best practice in the area of security with particular emphasis on the protection on sensitive customer and company information
Adhere to all internal processes and procedures for the department
To work closely with all internal departments in order to build and retain effective long-term relationships
Provide cover for other team members
The job requires someone who with excellent customer service skills and telephone manner, great communication skills, very pro-active and at least intermediate level computer literacy in the Windows environment and MS Office. It is essential that they have customer service experience and/or previous sales office experience.
A pleasant and helpful telephone manner is essential in dealing with the occasional demanding customers.
