Job Background:
37.5 hour week Monday to Friday.
Earliest shift is 7.30-4, latest shift is 10-6.30 with 8, 8.30, 9 and 9.30 shifts respectively.
Open 51 weeks of the year, closing for the Xmas week.
5 weeks annual leave and an annual bonus scheme.

Nursery Nurse
Nursery Nurses are responsible to the Nursery Manager, Deputy Manager and Third in Charge and their direct Head of Room.
Responsibilities are comprehensive but not exhaustive.
 Promote the themes and commitments of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
 The ability to contribute to a team through positive role-modelling and experience.
 Support colleagues and children in relation to creating effective curriculum planning inline with the EYFS requirements.
 Support their colleagues in the absence of the Head or Room and liaise effectively.
 Attend and contribute to Room meetings and action plans for individual rooms.
 Provide individual care to children including personal hygiene and emotional well being.
 Able to identify individual children’s needs and provide individual care accordingly.
 Have the ability to effectively communicate with all nursery staff and pass on relevant information to junior and senior staff.
 Take direction from all senior staff.
 Liaise effectively with parents and provide feedback positively, demonstrating sensitivity towards child and parent.
 Report all accidents and incidents using the appropriate format and ensure relevant information is passed on to the manager.
 Complete twice yearly development reports on key children and attend yearly parent evenings.
 Attend four-weekly staff meetings  Attend any necessary training under the direction of the manager to ensure comprehension of legislation.
 Maintain a professional and positive relationship with all personnel that come in to contact with the nursery and staff.
 Be compliant with and have a working knowledge of Health & Safety, Safeguarding, SEN, and Equal Opportunities.
 Understand and comply with the Confidentiality Policy in relations to parents, children and staff
