Our client is a small manufacturer of measurement and control systems to the food manufacturing industry. It is a market leader in several areas of its industry and has a niche in the food sectors.
As part of the company's expansion and to improve service and response to the growing demands of their customers around the world, they now require and Electronic Engineer to provide field service and applications support to their customer base internationally.
The primary activity will be field service and applications support and to manage the service, repair and installation of new and existing systems internationally. In addition the role will also include a small amount of design of new circuits and upgrades within key components and systems.
You will hold an HNC or higher qualification in Analogue Electronic or Instrumentation and have knowledge of basic mechanical handling modules and components and their systems interfaces. A Physics qualification would also be a distinct advantage.
Excellent IT and computing skills and experience are required, both hardware and software. Some programming knowledge in high level languages would be an advantage.

Fluency in a second European language (Especially German) is highly advantageous and as the position requires frequent travel, a full driving licence is required.
You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills as the position involves significant senior customer contact and training of key personnel.
You will have had previous experience in a support position, be highly professional, confident and will enjoy working in and organising a small team. You will have the ability to multi task and quickly identify potential problems/conflicts and take initiative to resolve them. You will possess the ability to remain calm under pressure with common sense and excellent attention to detail as well as the ability to learn quickly.
