Job Background:
Company: Our client is a service organization providing technical and administration support to councils and their subsidiaries in relation to the communal energy stations, heating and hot water plant rooms. The service provided is layered; meter reading, site operational and efficiency monitoring, various levels of reporting, planned preventive maintenance, reactive repairs, refurbishment and replacement of heavy equipment, control of sub-contracted labour and companies.
Job Duties:
To work in a safe and consciences manner at all times. To carry pre-defined planned preventive maintenance to all plant on a number of sites primarily in Woking Borough but not limited to this area. To provide clear and accurate technical action reports, complete daily check lists and maintain on site log books. To carry out reactive repairs as necessary. To clean and keep clean sites and areas where we hold the responsibility. To provide preventative action feedback, suggestions on continual improvement. To bring to the attention of the line management any potential issues. To work with stock control process and policies Type of Equipment/Plant:
Heating/hot water boilers 10kWh – 500kWh
Pumps, valves: 1.1kW – 30kW
11kVa switch gear
1.3mWe combined heat and power plant
Fire alarm panels
Pressurization units
Lamp fittings
DSL connections
Cooling towers 1.0mW
Chemical dosing units
Job Qualifications:
Person: The person must be enthusiastic, willing, flexible and professional. Working within a very dynamic team but also able to work on their own effectively and confidently. Must be able to follow orders, and be able to offer suggestions or alternatives to the instruction. Must be reliable, honest and trustworthy, able to work calmly under pressure. Be clean and respectable Have own basic tools of the trade Experience/Qualifications
Light commercial heating maintenance engineer

Additional Information:
YOU WILL BE WORKING A SHIFT PATTERN THAT WILL INVOLVE SPENDING SOME NIGHTS IN THE COMPANY FLAT WHICH OFFERS A POOL TABLE AND TELEVISION. You will work in the day and effectively, if the work carried out in the day in done properly, you will get paid to sleep. When you are not working the nights, you may be on call on a shift basis. This is an excellent opportunity and you will able to buy into the company share scheme and have incentive bonuses. The position offers a van, laptop and phone. If you have some and not all of the skills required, you will still be considered but your attitude and work ethic is the most important thing.
