THIS IS AN OFFICE BASED ROLE WITH THE POSSIBILITY OF WORKING FROM HOME AS AND WHEN NEEDED. THERE WILL ALSO BE EXTENSIVE TRAVEL OVERSEES.
MAIN DUTIES
To manage product and system sales in designated overseas territories
To make regular sales visits to CSR’s and Customers
Assist in preparation of sales forecasts
Provide direction / oversee preparation and delivery of customer proposals / quotations
Keep accurate sales quotes, proposals, prospects and sales visits records
Provide the Company with market intelligence
Assist with management of exhibitions and other promotional events
You will either be an experienced sales person with a background in selling into the navel defence market or possibly an ex navel officer with some experience within a commercial environment who could be mentored and trained in the sales cycle.
The sales cycles are very long processes so the role needs someone who is able to stick with that and also still be motivated.
REQUIRED SKILLS
High end electronics / electro-mechanical sales environment
Experienced in contract negotiations
Experience in managing CSR’s
Good understanding of general business, International sales procedures
Good computer skills.
Ability to work and resolve problems on own initiative
To work flexible hours when necessary with frequent overseas travel
Evidence of sales and marketing experience and strong interpersonal skills and experience in communicating at highest level
DESIRABLE SKILLS
Knowledge of the marine environment would be an advantage.
Knowledge / experience of export controls / ITAR
