Job Duties:
Entry of incoming goods onto the computer.
Inspection of incoming goods.
Taking samples of products for further testing.
Inspection of finished electrodes, solid wires and flux cored wires.
Release of products and entry into stock on the computer.
Sorting in-coming goods and separation of goods on pallets involving some
heavy lifting.
Liaison with the Purchasing Department if there are discrepancies between
deliveries and orders; also liaison for control of some products such as
consignment stock.
Liaison with Sales and Production if it is necessary to prioritise work load.
Calibration of measuring equipment.
Job Qualifications:
Must be a conscientious, reliable person who is able to work well with existing
QC Superintendent and also have the motivation to work alone as required.
Must be organised and accurate in checking paperwork and transferring
information into logs or onto the computer. Must be computer literate. Forklift
truck experience would be an advantage.
